How does semaglutide work?

The mechanism of action of semaglutide involves mimicking a natural hormone in the body called GLP-1, which:

Stimulates the production of insulin from the pancreas

Slows down digestion
Helps control appetite and food intake.

GLP-1 is a naturally occurring hormone that is released when we eat to help us regulate food intake. Recommended Dosage

    Start with 3 mg once daily for 30 days. The 3 mg dose is intended for treatment initiation.
    After 30 days on the 3 mg dose, increase the dose to 7 mg once daily.
    If a dose is missed, the missed dose should be skipped, and the next dose should be taken the following day.
